Our library is stocked with over 9,000 titles in many areas of interest, from mystery to science fiction, fantasy, future worlds, classics,  sports stories, true stories of bravery and war accounts, as well as survival stories and teen and family dramas. We also offer reference books to help with research and writing papers for various classes. In the Media Center, we have three mobile computer carts for student and classroom use, as well as individual desktop computers. Hours are 7:30a.m.- 3:15p.m. daily.
In addition to my library duties here at MCW Jr/Sr HS, I direct the plays performed each year. They consist of a Fall Musical in November, One Act Play competition in January, and a Spring Play in April. Students in grades 7-12 are able to participate in each of these plays and pay only one fee for the year. Each play is in rehearsals for six weeks to two months per show. Students will memorize lines, develop a character, learn stage movement and  to work as an ensemble.  For the musical, they expand their character through song and dance. Members also learn how to design and build sets and props. Students in play productions are members of our MCW Drama Club, in which we promote our activity through community performances and activities, including bussing tables and running concession stands and bake sales.
I have been employed with MCW schools since 1996. Seeing students set goals for themselves, then succeed through hard work and dedication, is truly rewarding.
