Allow me to be the first to welcome you to Trimont Elementary. Myself and the staff are dedicated to providing the best educational opportunities for all learners in a safe and welcoming environment.
Prior to becoming the Principal at Trimont Elementary, Mr. Brusky served students, teachers and communities in a variety of roles. He started his professional career as the Director of Guidance and Counseling at St. Mary’s Springs Academy in Fond du Lac, Wisconsin. Missing the classroom he took a position in North Branch, Minnesota where he taught High School Biology and Physics for 6 years. He then moved to Elk River where he taught Physics, Biology and Wildlife Biology for 3 years and spent one year as the Assistant Principal at Vandenberg Middle School. In addition to his classroom obligations, Mr. Brusky served as a coach for both Golf and Tennis, chaired the Staff Development Committee at Elk River High School, was a member of leadership teams at both Elk River High School and North Branch High School, was the building representative for the North Branch Teachers Union and piloted many different technology initiatives at both North Branch and Elk River.
Mr. Brusky graduated from St. Mary’s University of Minnesota with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Environmental Biology and a Chemistry minor in 2004 and earned a Masters of Arts Degree in Instruction in 2005. In 2009 he completed the PhASE program (Physics Licensure) at Hamline University. In 2011 he completed his Specialist Degree in K-12 Leadership at the Minnesota State University Mankato.
