My name is Cori Reynolds and it is my privilege to be your new superintendent. As I write this, I have a few more weeks before I officially begin but my mind is already full of lists: questions to ask, people to meet, ideas to explore, and so much more. I plan to work hard this summer to get ready for what I hope will be a great school year together!
My family and I have been in Brainerd for the last seven years. I was the Director of Community Education and Communications for Brainerd Public Schools. My husband, Brian, is a paraprofessional for an online school and coached Brainerd's 8th grade baseball team. We have four sons, three of whom were part of the package when Brian and I married 11 years ago. The oldest lives in the Twin Cities with his partner, her 6-year-old daughter, and their 5-month old daughter. The second oldest lives in Brainerd with his wife and 3-month old daughter. If you're counting, that's three granddaughters for us!
The third boy, Nolan, just graduated from Brainerd High School and will be attending Waldorf University this fall. You may see him around later this summer and on school breaks. Our youngest, Elliot, will be a 4th grader this fall at Trimont Elementary and is very excited to start playing tackle football. Maggie, our two-year-old rescue dog will also accompany us in our move to Sherburn.
I look forward to getting to work for our Martin County West students, staff, and community. We have felt so warmly welcomed already and we look forward to getting to know you all!
