COVID-19 Testing

Martin County West School District will now be able to provide COVID-19 testing for grades 7-12.  A parent/guardian must sign and return the consent form to Madison Mahle, School Nurse.  The school district will be utilizing CUE Testing.  The CUE Test is a molecular test that detects the RNA of SARS-CoV-2, the virus that causes COVID-19, using a nasal swab sample taken from the lower part of the nose.  Results are displayed directly on a connected mobile smart device in about 20 minutes via the CUE Health app.

At-Home COVID tests are available for all students.  This test is a rapid, nasal swab, antigen COVID-19 test.  It is recommended for symptomatic or close contact students, these will be available upon request.  The test will be sent home with students to be completed.  Student/parents will have to set up an account on a smartphone to complete testing at home, it takes about 15 minutes to complete.  Please report any positive cases to your child's school.

Beginning January 19, 2022, the government has announced that every home in the U.S. can order four free at-home COVID-19 tests.  Visit for information on how you can order your free tests.
