• Why is there a Martin County West Booster Club?

The Martin County West School Board and Administration do a great job of supporting our extra-curricular and co-curricular activities.  School budgets are stretched and funding continues to be cut at the state level.  The extra-curricular and co-curricular acitivites are usually first to feel these budget cuts.  The MCW Booster Club has been established to help whenever possible.

The MCW Booster Club holds fundraisers throughout each school year to raise funds to help support these activities.  Fundraisers such as:

    • Concession stand at FLASC Fields
    • Hawkins Tailgate Party held before home football games
    • Maverick Classic Golf Tournament
    • MCW Program Jackets

These events along with other sponsor supported acitivites and your membership fee held out all students involved in extra-curricular and co-curricular activities!

Each year at our September meeting, the MCW Booster Club and the MCW Activities Director review requests made by coaches and program heads of activities for the upcoming school year.  Each year over $8,000 is donated to this request process.  Everything from bats, balls, running watches, training supplies, travel expenses, and band-aids are considered.  Our board is trying to use the donated dollars as best we can while supplying needed help to our district.

A Lifetime Membership is $50.  MCW students will appreciate your support!  Contact any of our directors listed to join the Booster Club.
